General Information
Tarana Tabassum Sweety is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at Presidency University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from the Department of History, University of Dhaka, securing First Position in her Honours and Second Position in her master's examinations. In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, she was awarded two Gold Medals by the Honorable President of Bangladesh and two Dean's Awards from the Arts Faculty of the University of Dhaka. Although academically trained as a historian, she adopts an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research by integrating historical perspectives with the social sciences. She is committed to advancing historical scholarships, promoting an accurate understanding of history, and inspiring students through quality teaching and research. Prior to joining Presidency University, Ms. Sweety served as a Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Research in Arts and Social Sciences (CARASS), University of Dhaka, where she contributed to several historical research projects. She has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles and presented her research at national and international academic conferences.
