General Information

Md. Ahamed Abid is a Lecturer of Bangla at the Department of English under the school of liberal arts and humanities at Presidency University, Bangladesh. He obtained both his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Bengali from the University of Dhaka. He is passionate about teaching Bengali language and literature and is committed to creating an engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.

Before joining Presidency University, he served as a Lecturer of Bangla at the Bangladesh Open University, Pallabi Government College Study Centre. He also worked as a Bengali Sentence Corrector at BacBon Limited, where he gained practical experience in language editing, proofreading, and maintaining linguistic accuracy.

Alongside his academic career, he is undergoing professional training as a Trainee News Presenter at Mohona Television, which has strengthened his communication, presentation, and public speaking skills. His academic interests include Bengali literature, literary criticism, language teaching, translation studies, and creative writing. He actively participates in cultural activities, including theatre, recitation, and acting, reflecting his dedication to the promotion of Bengali language and culture.
