Convocation of Presidency University

The 1st Convocation was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on April 11, 2013. The Education Advisor to the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Alauddin Ahmed conferred degrees to the graduating students of Presidency University on behalf of the Chancellor. Convocation Speech was given by Professor Dr. Jamilur Raza Chowdhury. Professor Sharif Enamul Kabir, Member of Public Service Commission attended the program as a special guest. Board of Trustees Chairperson Mr. Moazzam Hossain, Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Board of Trustees Members Prof. Mahbub Ahmed, Mr. M. Amanullah, Ms. Tazneen Aman, Ms. Ilya Raaz Hossain & Ms. Fauzia Ahmed were present in the program.

From its humble beginning in September, 2003, Presidency University was established with a view of providing a level of excellence in education and research that would be at par with the leading public and private universities in Bangladesh.

The University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Information Technology, as well as short training programs to enhance professional development. It is not only a research powerhouse for scholarly faculty members but also, a force that shapes the possibilities of the future across the domains of human endeavor.

 Presidency University has a dynamic learning environment that creates an incentive for students to study and grow. It is a place where thinkers become leaders, a place where the thirst for knowledge fuels our desire for distinction.
