Calendar Notes

 

May 3 – 5, are advising and registration days on campus.  Do not miss your turn, show up on time.

Past Dues must be settled before you can register for Summer 2008. If your account is overdue, your records will not show on the computer and your advisor will not be able to advise you.  Please report to Presidency Accounts, settle your dues, then request the Registrar’s Office to restore your records for advising.

Late Registration:

If you miss your turn, a late fee will be charged for advising and registration from May 6 through May 18, the last day for late registration.

Tuition payments:

Once registered, you are obligated to pay all tuition and fees that are due. You can pay your tuition in full on or before May 18, 2008. 

You can also pay your tuition in three installments:

1.     30% on or before May 18th 2008
with penalty of Tk 250 in default.

2.     35% on or before June 12th 2008
with penalty of Tk 250 in default, and

3.     35% on or before July 10th 2008.

Classes and Exams:

First day of class: May 6.
Last day of class: August 3.
Final Exams: August 04 – 11.

Rules of attendance:

Please be mindful that paying tuition and fees are not the only conditions to continue in a course.  Regular participation in class and exams are mandatory.  Faculty members may authorize withdrawal of students who are irregular, disruptive, or have missed four classes.

 

 

Section Change: 
You must attend the section in which you are registered. If need be, change your section by May 18, 2008.   

Add and Drop period: 

You can add and drop courses from your schedule through two weeks of classes i.e. May 18, 2008. Changes during this period are not shown on transcripts. Since you cannot add a course after this date, May 18, is the last day to add and drop courses from your schedule. 

Withdrawing from a course:

If you withdraw from a course after May 18, but before Jul 05 the grade W will be assigned to your record.

Last day to Withdraw:

After Jul 05, you may not withdraw from a course and a final grade will be assigned based on your academic performance. Absence or poor attendance may lead to an F grade. 

No refund:

Students enjoying tuition waiver or any other advantage from the University are not entitled to any refund on any ground after May 18, 2008.

Changes to your record:

Please note that no change in your transcript is automatic. If you notice that your academic record needs to be corrected, then you must act now.  Bring the issues to your advisor’s notice and start the paper work needed to authorize changes to your record.
